"We've never worked with an interior decorator before, but after moving into a larger home we felt overwhelmed. I first saw Michele’s work while touring an open house.  The rooms were so beautifully and functionally put together. After meeting Michele for the first time, we knew we could work with her. Not only is she unbelievably nice and down to earth, she has an amazing eye for color, pattern and proportion. 

Michele takes pride in her work and it shows in every detail. She has great style herself, but carefully listens to what would fit best for you. Instead of buying a new dresser for my son, she helped me repurpose an old dresser in storage. Michele also went around my house suggesting where to place my already existing furniture and artwork. The highlight of my time working with Michele was shopping at ABC Carpet and selecting a beautiful oriental rug for my living room. Before I worked with her, I had bought, on sale, very bright, geometric-patterned chairs for my living room. I found it impossible to find a rug that would coordinate with these crazy chairs. Michele came to my house, took pictures and measured the entire room. She then personally shopped with me to find just the right rug. I love how the living room looks now. 

My only regret is not using her from the start of my decorating process. Hire Michele from the beginning, she will save you time and money.  You're not going to find a nicer, more creative interior designer than Michele."

“I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to consult with Michele Taylor Interiors when remodeling my kitchen. Michele offered outstanding direction to my project in so many valuable ways. We had already worked out the layout with the cabinet company but we needed help with all the other design decisions. After asking us questions about our design goals and lifestyle, Michele immediately understood us and came up with a design concept. This served to guide all of our design decisions.

Some examples of how Michele helped us are she insisted that we use under-cabinet lighting. I was hesitant about this, but now I'm so glad that I listened to her. We were raising our ceiling 4 feet and Michele understood more lighting would be necessary. The additional light has made a dramatic difference! Michele also introduced soapstone countertops to me. I absolutely love the look! Then she suggested that we remove a few cabinets and install wood shelves instead. The end result was more than I could have anticipated. The room actually looks bigger. The wood shelves also gave me a place to display my handmade ceramic bowls and plates. Michele also told me I should shop for an antique sideboard instead of more stock cabinets near the kitchen table. This saved us money and gave the kitchen more personality.

Michele was highly recommended through a friend of mine. Although I'm in Florida and Michele is in New Jersey, we had no problem communicating through phone, FaceTime or email as Michele offers a long-distance Design Consulting Service. Whenever I went shopping, I would email pictures to her and she would advise me over the phone or by email. When I needed help with the wall color, Michele asked me to send her samples of all the materials we had selected. With that, she was able to help me select the perfect color for the room. In summary, Michele did a wonderful job designing a very functional kitchen for my family and it looks beautiful. Michele is patient, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. I will definitely be calling on Michele Taylor Interiors for our next project!”
